Sustainability Target Achieved Ahead Of Schedule

With another winter period over AA Salt have come out the other end having achieved one of our key company goals, well ahead of schedule!

Having gained growing recognition for our environmentally friendly approach and aiming towards a sustainable business model, we committed to being carbon-neutral by 2030.

Now, after achieving this…8 years ahead of the goal…we are also proud to announce that the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has named us as the winner of the Environmental and Sustainability category at their 2022 Small Business Awards.

Through a variety of initiatives and programmes including rainwater harvesting and solar power technology, along with other efficiencies that have reduced fuel consumption we were able to make a big difference in offsetting our carbon footprint.

Speaking to Business Innovations Magazine, Sales & Operations Director, Ben Tanner thanked the FSB for recognising our efforts saying:

“It’s always brilliant to be recognised for successes you’ve had and we are delighted to been awarded a really prestigious regional award only weeks after we became a carbon neutral business.
“We’ve made no secret about our commitment to the environment and being sustainable has been a huge part of our last 20 years in business. Actually winning the award, and becoming carbon neutral, simply underlines how far we’ve come and how we have stuck to our values.
“To win this award is great for everyone here at AA Salt as it recognises what we have done with schools, in the community and throughout our operations to be greener and more environmentally aware. It would be the icing on the cake to bring the trophy back to Worcestershire.”
